What is a lamp?

CIE (Commission International de L’Eclairage International Commission on Illumination) defines a luminaire as: "It can redistribute, filter or convert the light emitted by the light source." It includes the necessary components for fixing and protecting the light source, as well as auxiliary circuit equipment connecting the light source and the power supply line.

1) Light source components: for anti-glare and light distribution, including LED lamp beads, lamp panels (aluminum substrate, fiberglass board, FPC, etc.)

Aluminum substrate: good heat dissipation, poor insulation, and poor flexibility.

Fiberglass board: ordinary heat dissipation, good insulation, poor flexibility.

FPC: Normal heat dissipation, good insulation, good flexibility.

2) Housing components: radiators, installation structural parts, optical accessories, accessories that realize special functions (such as waterproof ring, waterproof sealant, etc.), play a role in fixing, protecting, supporting, and securing.

3) Driving components: driver housing, driving power (include isolated, non-isolated, and linear constant current.) for power supply, maintenance, insulation, and control

Each piece of lamp has these three parts components.

For lamps, its biggest function is to redistribute the light emitted by the light source, and then control the light-emitting angle. Therefore, among the three major parts, the optical system accounts for the largest proportion of the performance of lamps and lanterns, which can account for 60%, and the remaining driving part and housing part each account for 20%.
