What concerns do consumers often pay attention to when purchasing LED lighting fixtures?

SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
In the production of LED chips, inorganic acids, oxidants, complexing agents, hydrogen peroxide, organic solvents and other cleaning agents used in the process of substrate production and processing, as well as metal-organic gaseous compounds and ammonia used in epitaxy are toxic and polluting. These are also conventional chemical substances, which are commonly used in the production of semiconductor integrated circuits and other industries. For LED chip companies that belong to this type of high-tech, the processing technology and procedures are strict and effective, and harmless treatment is easy to carry out.
Toxicity and pollutants generated in the production process of LED control devices (commonly known as LED driving power) are no different from those of similar traditional fluorescent lamps, metal halide lamps, other electronic ballasts and various conventional consumer electronics.
The aluminum alloy shells commonly used in LED lamps are similar to the aluminum alloy shells of traditional lamps, and the toxicity and pollutants generated during the manufacturing process of plastic or iron shells are at least not significantly increased.
In short, there is no need to worry about the LED lighting fixtures that people directly come into contact with, as well as the environmental protection issues in the production process.
PERSONAL SAFTY CONCERNS
1. The wrong understanding that the voltage of the LED lamp is low and very safe.
The technical personnel of many enterprises do not have a deep and comprehensive understanding of the electrical safety of LED lighting products and driving power supply, which leads to the electrical safety of many designed and produced LED lighting products completely dependent on the safety of the driving power supply. and the electrical isolation and insulation of many matched LED power supplies do not meet the standard requirements. Meanwhile, a large scale of propagandas that LED lighting fixtures are with low voltage and safe mislead people, resulting in the risk of electric shock may be higher than the people subconsciously know that the high voltage is very dangerous and dare not touch the traditional lighting products casually.
2. LED blue light hazards
White light LED with blue light chip is more concentrated in the harmful spectrum than the fluorescent lamp because of blue light spectrum, about twice as harmful as the fluorescent lamp. At the same with small luminous point and high brightness, which makes the blue light more harmful than others. However, according to theory and long-term product safety certification testing in practice, less than 5% of LED desk lamps exceed the RG1 risk requirements, and these lamps only need to be marked "Don't look directly at the light source at a close distance for a long time.", marking a safe distance critical point to reminds users , than it meets the standard requirements and can be sold and used without problems. And it is much safer than looking directly at the sun for a short time. And LED light with a frosted cover will safer. And it is not only LED light source that has photobiological safety problems. In fact, some traditional light sources, such as early metal halide lamps, may have more serious ultraviolet light damage and even blue light damage.
3. Strobe problem
It can be said that LED lighting products is the most flicker-free and the most stable (such as many LED lights matched with LED driver of pure DC supply). Some LED lighting products, for example, no driving power supply and AC grid directly supplies LED strings or COB LEDs, will also with stroboscopic, but this is similar with the stroboscopic problem of inductive ballast fluorescent lamps. It is not depended on the LED light source, but on the power supply mode and driving power supply matched. And it is the same for the stroboscopic of traditional light source lighting products.
4. People are not used to the color
Many people propose that the LED spectrum is discontinuous and not full spectrum, which make people feel uncomfortable. But in fact, the LED spectrum is much more continuous and complete than the spectrum of energy-saving lamps that people have used for a long time (see the spectrum comparison chart below), but no one has proposed that they are uncomfortable or uncomfortable with energy-saving lamps.

High color temperature blue chip type white LED spectrum

CFL spectrum with high color temperature

Low color temperature blue chip type white LED spectrum

Low color temperature energy-saving lamp spectrum
